The painted roots have the names of all 42 generations from Abraham to Christ. Beneath the roots, the collage depicts the history of waiting and longing for the promised Christ to come, and the dawning of hope after two thousand years of anticipation.

God made a covenant with our fathers ages ago, saying to Abraham, “And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed”. Genesis 22:18
