Prophets foretold the coming of the One who would bring light to those walking in darkness, set captives free, bind up the brokenhearted, and wash hearts clean. Many yearned deeply for this Messiah, whom God was going to send to be a sacrifice for sins and topurchase forgiveness and salvation.
