The fabrics used in this quilt are from old clothing with unique histories and stories.  And so it is with our lives.   These stories must be chronicled, just as each year of a tree’s life is recorded in its rings.  They must be passed on from generation to generation, so they will not be forgotten.  We must remember our heritage, and the many ways that God has shown His faithfulness in the past, so we will be quick to trust and praise Him in the present.

"And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come" Psalm 71:18
